The Discovery Fishing Pier in British Columbia was the very first saltwater fishing pier in all of Canada. It starts 150 feet away from the beach and goes on for 600 feet in total length. From this vantage point, not only will you be treated to the breathtaking panoramas of the Discovery Passage. The fishing experience is also top-notch.

Comox has plenty to offer if you’re looking for a scenic background for your family portrait or want to capture some candid shots of your kids enjoying the great outdoors. Here are a few of our favourite spots for family, couple, or maternity photos in Comox.

  1. The Spit, This narrow strip of land jutting out into Comox Bay, is the perfect place to snap some seaside shots. Watch the boats come and go while your kids play in the sand or paddle in the shallows.
  2. Mount Washington For those looking for a winter wonderland backdrop, Mount Washington is hard to beat. Come here to ski or snowboard in the winter, or hike and mountain bike in the summer months. Either way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Comox Valley from atop Vancouver Island’s highest peak.
